Tough weekend for Iowa Lakes netters

The Iowa Lakes Women’s Volleyball Team traveled to Council Bluffs to play in the Iowa Western Invitational on Saturday. The Lakers went 1-3 on the weekend losing to Pratt Community College (19-25, 23-25, 25-27), Central Community College (21-25, 17-25, 17-25), and Colby Community College (12-25, 14-25, 22-25), and winning against Southeastern Community College (25-22, 25-22, 26-24).

RaeAhna Harmon led the Lakers with 65 kills on the weekend and 43 digs.

Kali Mumm and Julia Beckius also tallied up 38 and 34 kills, respectively, while Jazmin Benally dished out 132 set assists.

Iowa Lakes (15-16 overall, 3-3 in the conference) was in Fort Dodge Wednesday evening against Iowa Central. The Lakers return to Fort Dodge on Friday and Saturday for the Iowa Central Tournament.
