Week 8 Football Previews

GRAETTINGER – After losing a chance at the playoffs with last week’s loss to Harris-Lake Park, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire will look to finish the 2016 on a high note against rival West Bend-Mallard.

The Wolverines are just one game behind the Titans, having lost to St. Mary’s of Remsen for their third district loss, besides the two losses to district leaders Harris-Lake Park and Newell-Fonda.

West Bend-Mallard is coming off a 42-6 loss to Newell-Fonda.

Statistically, the Titans have put up more yards (3,044 to 2,393) and points (356 to 268) than the Wolverines.

Kolton Roth leads the ground attack with 1,132 yards and 22 touchdowns on 172 carries while quarterback Jacob Conlon has 826 yards and 13 touchdowns on 110 carries as part of their 1-2 attack.

West Bend-Mallard has used more players with Dexter Knobnlock leading the way with 711 yards and nine touchdowns on 83 carries whiel Thad Fogarty has 463 yards and six touchdowns on 70 carries and quarterback Mike Fehr has 44 carries for 319 yards and six touchdowns.

GT/RA has had more success through the air with Conlon going 57-of-91 for 711 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. Fehr is 21-of-64 passing for 442 yards, but has 11 interceptions to nine touchdowns.

Defensively, the Titans have been better causing turnovers forcing 10 interceptions and nine fumbles while the Wolverines have just five interceptions and recovered five fumbles.
