Warrior girls notch seventh straight victory

ARMSTRONG – The North Union girls pulled away from visiting Lake Mills in the second and third quarters on the way to a 50-31 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

The Warriors led just 10-9 after one quarter, but opened up the game with a 17-6 quarter to lead 27-15. In a low-scoring third quarter, Lake Mills scored just three points as North Union led 35-18 to start the final frame.

Samantha Hagedorn led North Union with 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Hallie Reese finished with 15 points while shooting 7-of-11 from the field. She also had six rebounds. Alexis Valvick chipped in 11 points while Bre Anderson and Chloe Lofstrom each had three points and Rory McClellan had two. Reese and Anderson each had six rebounds.

North Union (7-0) is home against St. Ansgar on Thursday.
