Wolves spoil Titans’ homecoming

RUTHVEN — Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire’s homecoming wasn’t what the Titans were looking for. Visiting Harris-Lake Park dominated both sides of the ball in shutting out the hosts 39-0 on Friday.

The Wolves limited the Titans to 33 total yards of offense. GT/RA finished with 28 yards on 27 carries. Max Hough was 4-of-8 passing for 5 yards.

Harris-Lake Park finished with 285 yards of offense–198 on the ground and 88 through the air.

Tyce Gunderson was 8-of-19 passing with three touchdowns and he ran for a fourth from a yard out. He finished with 68 yards on eight carries. Lucas Gunderson did the bulk of the work with 14 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

H-LP led 14-0 after one quarter, 32-0 at halftime and then scored in the third quarter to start the running clock via the 35-point rule.

For GT/RA, Cormick Currans had 11 carries for 22 yards, Hough had 15 carries for 11 yards and Isaac Murphy had a carry for minus 5 yards.

Nolan Darr caught two passes for 13 yards and Currans had two catches for minus 8 yards.

The game had just one turnover with the Titans fumbling once.

Defensively for GT/RA, Hough and Currans each had six tackles while Brock Grimm and Blake Rosacker each had 4.5.

GT/RA (1-2 overall) goes on the road this Friday against Remsen-St. Mary’s (3-0). The Hawks are coming off a 56-6 win over West Bend-Mallard.a
