Anderson, Duitsman each sixth to lead ELC teams

A pair of sixth-place finishes paced the Estherville Lincoln Central Cross Country teams and their home invitational on Thursday.

Jasey Anderson finished sixth in helping the ELC girls placed fifth as a team.

Parker Duitsman placed sixth in the boys’ race, as they finished seventh overall.

In the girls’ race, Anderson finished the 3.1-mile course in 22 minutes, 54.63 seconds. She was followed by Allison Young, who placed 22nd in 25:03.49. Emerson Blair placed 32nd in 26:01.37 while Maggie Domek placed 33rd in 26:19.63, Ava Matheson placed 41st in 27:48.66, and Katelyn Myers placed 44th in 28:56.25.

Duitsman finished the race in 18:50.25. Kaleb Young placed 30th in 20:40, Will Martin placed 38th in 21:36, Caleb Lausen placed 44th in 22:27, Jacob Knudson placed 45th in 22:28.31, and Gary Gardner placed 52nd in 24:01.

Three ELC JV runners also ran in the boys’ race. Isaac Reineke placed 43rd, Matthew Valen placed 48th and Eli Ross placed 49th.

ELC returns to action Tuesday at Eagle Grove.
