Tigers take down Warriors

ARMSTRONG — North Union netters put up another good battle, but came up short in a 3-1 loss to visiting Spencer on Tuesday.

The Tigers took the first game 25-22 with the Warriors winning game two 25-20. However, Spencer closed out the match with wins of 25-17 and 25-21.

Anna Longhenry led the North Union attack with 13 kills while Olivia VonBank had 10, Sam Nielsen had four and Olivia Guerdet had three. Lily Henderson had 22 set assists.

Defensively, the Warriors finished with eight blocks led by Longhenry with four and Shayla Reese had two. Henderson led the back-row defense with 14 digs while Longhenry had nine and VonBank had eight.

Henderson had a strong serving night, going 25-of-27 with four aces. Carys Fuller was 16-of-17. Von Bank had two aces in nine successful serves.

North Union (3-15 overall) is at Eagle Grove today.

E’Hawk netters sweep Titans

EMMETSBURG — Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire lost in straight sets to Emmetsburg on Tuesday by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-13.

Macy McAllister led the E’Hawks with eight kills.

Stats for the Titans were unavailable on Tuesday.

GT/RA (0-19) hosts Southeast Valley today.
