Area alumni meet in GPAC semifinal

Lofstrom met on the hardcourt

for the third time

this season in the Greater

Plains Athletic Conference

Women’s Basketball semifinals

on Saturday.

Lofstrom’s Morningside

Mustangs won the rubber

match, 72-59, over

Condon’s Briar Cliff

Chargers. Condon had three

points in the contest while

Lofstrom scored seven

points had five rebounds,

two blocks and an assist.

Both players start for their

respective teams.

Morningside is on a 19-

game win streak and hasn’t

lost since the 80-78 setback

to Briar Cliff on Dec. 2.

Lofstrom and the seventh-

ranked Mustangs (25-

2) advance to the GPAC

Championship on Tuesday.

Condon and the Chargers

finish a 17-10 season.

To reach Saturday’s finals,

Condon scored a career-high

16 points in the GPAC quarterfinals,

a 67-54 win over

Dordt on Thursday. She shot

4-of-6 from 3-point range

and 4-of-4 from the free

throw line. She also had four

rebounds, a blocked shot and

a steal. Condon is a sophomore.

In another quarterfinal,

Lofstrom went for a career-

high 17 points in an

84-75 win over Jamestown

(N.D.) on Thursday. She

also had six rebounds,

three steals and two assists.

Lofstrom is a freshman.
