Kirkwood halts Lakers win streak
CEDAR FALLS — The
sixth-ranked Iowa Lakes
men saw their eight-game
winning streak come to an
end with a 92-77 loss to
Kirkwood on Saturday.
“They physically beat us at
the point of contact all night
long, they were ready to go
from the start, they got after
us and we weren’t ready for
it,” said Iowa Lakes coach
Troy Larson.
Dillon Carlson led the
Lakers with 21 points and
seven rebounds. Ryan Hall
had 18 points, Kevin Cook
had 15 points and seven rebounds,
and Caleb Johnson
had 11 points.
Noah King led Kirkwood
with 30 points.
The sixth-ranked Lakers
(10-4 overall) will host topranked
DMACC at 7 p.m.,
Wednesday in Estherville.

Lakes won its eighthstraight
game with a 100-76
win over Iowa Central
Ryan Hall led the Lakers
with 24 points, Carlson
had 18, Xzavier Jones had
16 points, seven rebounds,
and seven assists, Kevin
Cook had 16 points and 12
rebounds, and Johnathan
Oden had 15 points.
Javonte Keck led Iowa
Central 21 points.’
Iowa Lakes shot 56 percent
(42-of-75) from the
floor, including 40.9 percent
(9-of-22) from 3-point
range.
