CHEROKEE — Estherville Lincoln Central didn’t have its best night against Lakes Conference foe Cherokee on Monday.

The Braves swept medalist honors with Carson Jenness taking top honors with a 40.

Blake Ingvall led ELC with a 44 while Ryan Schiltz and Clay Hanson each shot a 45 and Brandon Brunsvold and Cael Wodtke each carded a 46. Tristan Howard also played in the varsity-only dual and finished with a 48.

OKOBOJI — The Spirit Lake boys defended their home course against Estherville lincoln Central and Algona on Tuesday.

Ryan Schiltz led ELC with a 40 followed by Cael Wodtke with a 42, Brandon Brunsvold with a 43, and Blake Ingvall with a 45. Non-counting scores were a 47 by Clay Hanson, and a 50 by Tristan Howard.

The ELC junior varsity came out on top helped by a low score of 41 from Blake Evans. ELC finished with 176 followed by Spirit Lake with 196 and Algona with 227. Rounding out ELC’s team score, Carter Snyder, Kyle Quastad, and Griffin Hoyer all carded a 45. Non-counting scores were a 50 by Nick Hansen and a 53 by Landon Vaske.

GARNER — North Union swept medalist honors in defeating two Top of Iowa Conference foes on Monday.

Chase Cummins led the Warriors with a 44 while teammate Teagon Fothergill finished a stroke behind with a 45.

North Union’s Nick Schiltz also shot 45 while Gage Madden came in with a 45. Non-counting scores were a 50 by Parker Eichenberger and a 52 by Michael Hansen.

LAKE MILLS — Lake Mills carded three scores under 40 to defeat visiting North Union and Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs’ Bennett Berger and Casey Hanson both shot 35s to sweep medalist honors.

Teagon Fothergill led North Union with a 43, Gage Madden shot 47, Paker Eichenberger shot 49, and Chase Cummins shot 50. Other Warrior scores were a 55 by Michael Hanson and a 68 by Kegan Boland.

GARNER — Halle Rezac shot a 45 and Olivia Von Bank was a stroke behind to take medalist honors and lead North Union to Top of Iowa Conference wins in a triangular in Garner on Monday.

Vanessa Von Bank finished right behind with a 47 while Jordyn Cummins shot a 48.

The 186 is a team record for the Warriors.

Non-counting scores were a 57 by Carys Fuller and a 59 by Amelia Fothergill.
