Alice M. Bradeen, daughter of Earl Lee and Edith (Swartz) Book, was born on December 23, 1931, on the family farm near Superior, Iowa. She passed away at Pearl Valley Nursing Home in Estherville, Iowa, on May 5, 2020, at the age of 88 years.

Alice graduated from Estherville High School in 1950. She worked as a clerk at the Woolworth Store before her marriage to Corbett in April 1955 at the Presbyterian Church in Estherville, where she became a member. The couple made their home in Estherville, where they raised their three children. She enjoyed being a homemaker and running their greenhouse.

Her passion was flowers and she spent all of her spare time working in her gardens and greenhouse. She took great pleasure in others' enjoyment of the gardens that her and Corbett planted each year. She dedicated her life to lovingly and selflessly caring for her daughter, Julie. Later in life she added caring for Corbett after his diagnosis with Parkinson's. After she moved to the nursing home, she enjoyed arts and crafts and proudly displayed her work in her room for all to see.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Lisa (Al) Morales of Johnston, Iowa; her grandchildren: Andrea and Heather Bradeen and Alex and Austin Morales; her great-grandson Solomon Winterfeld; her siblings Larry (Ardella) Book, Melvin Book, Ron Book, and Donna Davis.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents Earl Lee and Edith, her husband Corbett, her children Steven and Julie, and her sister Shirley Poyzer.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.
