Visitation for Allan L. Paplow, 73, will be held from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Home in Estherville. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Spirit Lake. Allan departed this life on April 1, 2021 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.
Allan Leroy Paplow, son of Bert and Clara (Kuglin) Paplow was born on April 30, 1947 in Tracy, MN.
Allan attended school in Halfa, IA. After school he started working as an owner operator, Rohlin construction and Holiday Express. In his “retirement”, he helped the elevator. He also helped Jimmy Anderson harvest (even though he fed him too much)! He also enjoyed going for coffee and breakfast, usually hoping to run into someone to give a hard time to. He loved watching NASCAR, Iowa basketball and WWE. Most importantly he loved his girls Robin and Kim, more importantly his grandchildren there was always Dairy Queen or orange tootsie pops if Grandpa Al was around.
Allan is survived by his daughters, Robin (Brian) Mack and Kimberly (Brad) Paplow, four grandchildren, Madison, Bristol, Kael and Blayke; sisters Marlys Frazier and Darlene Johnson; brothers, Richard, Gary, Mark, and David.
Preceding him in death are his parents, sister Joyce, brothers Ronald, Bill, and Steven.
