Auxiliary grateful for hometown support

Posted

Once again Estherville has proven what it means by “Home Town Support.”

When the Covid-19 virus kept the VFW Auxiliary from their annual Buddy Poppy Drive, Oliver Anderson took it upon himself to go around to the area businesses and nearby communities and ask for donations. As many of you know, this money, is used only for aid to veterans and their family during hardship such as medical expenses, disaster experiences and hardships in general beyond their control. No one knew he was coming but they did not hesitate to donate. So it s with deep gratitude that we say Thank You to all those who were so willing with their donations and made this Buddy Poppy Drive an over the top success. And a big Thank You to Oliver for the days and hours he spent going from one end of town to the other and then out to surrounding communities. It is not too late to make a contribution by sending a check made payable to the VFW Auxiliary 3388 and sending it to 914 North 14th Street, Estherville IA 51334.

Thank You from the members of the VFW Auxiliary 3388
