A memorial service for Darlene Brunskill, 77, of Estherville, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Kevin Moore officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. She passed away on Feb. 17, 2021, at her home in Estherville.
Darlene Harriet Brunskill was born to Charles and Dorothy Jensen on May 16, 1943, in Jackson, Minn.
Darlene graduated from Jackson High School before attending nursing school in Sioux Falls, earning her LPN degree.
She worked as an LPN for many years before working at a clerk for Wal-Mart and Fareway.
Darlene married Robert Brunskill on April 7, 1972.
In her free time, Darlene enjoyed doing puzzles, reading Danielle Steel books, crocheting, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Brunskill; her sons, Andy Brunskill of Spirit Lake and Brian Brunskill of Estherville; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; seven siblings; and son-in-law, Jim Moyer of Estherville.
Darlene is preceded in death by her daughters, Monica Lujan and Gwen Moyer; her daughter-in-law, April Brunskill; grandsons, Nick Lujan and Nick Brunskill; granddaughter, Jessica Moyer; parents, Charles and Dorothy Jensen and mother and father-in-law, George and Katherine Brunskill.
