Funeral services for Darlo Scott Ahrens, 67, of Estherville, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. He passed away on March 13, 2025, at U of M Hospitals surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.,. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
Darlo Scott Ahrens, son of Carl and Vera (Koehler) Ahrens, was born on July 16, 1957, in Estherville, Iowa.
Darlo graduated from Estherville High School in 1976. He retired from AGCO in January 2024 after working there for 31 years.
Darlo loved his family, travel, farming, and supporting Iowa Hawkeye athletics.
Darlo is survived by his children, Alicia and Philip Lavin, Ashley Ahrens (Dustin Robertson), and Tyler Ahrens, along with grandchildren Hali and Blaize Ahrens and Hayden and Riley Robertson, as well as his siblings and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Vera Ahrens and brother, Larry.
In lieu of flowers, Darlo requested memorial contributions to Friends of Estherville FFA.
