Mass of Christian Burial for Kieth Marland Hildreth, 90, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church in Graettinger with Father William Schreiber, celebrant and Father Doug Klein, concelebrant. Interment will be at St. Jacob’s Catholic Cemetery, Graettinger.
Kieth Marland Hildreth, son of William Frank and Lena Viola (Whiteford) Hildreth, was born September 21, 1932, in Dickinson County, Iowa. Kieth attended rural Emmet County and Estherville High Schools.
On December 31, 1960, Kieth was united in marriage to Josephine Ann Fitzpatrick, at Immaculate Conception Church, Graettinger, IA.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and farmed until beginning with U.S.D.A., as a Federal Meat Inspector, retiring with 30 years of government service.
Kieth served on a number of boards including Soil & Water Conservation, R.C.& D, Emmet County Conservation Foundation, and Emmet County Nature Center Foundation. He was also member of American Legion Post #91, Estherville, IA, and Amvets.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his wife Jo; his parents; two brothers, Arnold and Marvin; two sisters, LaVernia Miller, and Iva Jean Helmick; and two nephews, Donald Miller (Colleen) and Randy Hildreth.
