Della Lutterman


SHERBURN, Minn. — A Mass of Christian Burial for Della M. Lutterman, 65, of Sherburn will be 10:30 am. Monday, September 20, 2021, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Sherburn with Father Jonathon Fasnacht as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery in Sherburn, Minnesota.
Della’s Earthly journey ended Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at Seasons Nursing Home in Trimont surrounded by family after a few short months’ battle with Glioblastoma (brain cancer).  Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn and one hour visitation prior to the services at the church on Monday.

Della Marie Bergeson was born Nov. 6, 1955, in Estherville, IA to Robert and Helen (Sangl) Bergeson. She was the oldest of four children, followed by younger brothers Alan, Dean, and Bill. Della was united in marriage to Wayne Thomas Lutterman on Aug. 20, 1977. Della was a stay-at-home mom to four children while doing bookkeeping for Wayne’s business until her later years, when she worked at MCW Elementary as a paraprofessional and then worked for the Fox Lake Power Plant from 2003 until her retirement when the plant closed. She spent her years of retirement enjoying time with her parents, visiting her grandsons, quilting, and tending her flowers.
Della loved flowers, sewing, and cats – although she really loved all animals. She spent many years as a member of Jay Garden Club in Sherburn and enjoyed sewing with the St Luke’s Sewing Group.
Della is survived by her husband, Wayne Lutterman, of Sherburn MN, son Kent (Amy) Lutterman and grandsons Wolfgang and Vladimir of Westville IN, daughters Andrea Lutterman of Minneapolis MN, Natalie Lutterman of Saint Paul MN, Brianna Lutterman of Sherburn MN, brothers Alan (Ruth) Bergeson of Terril IA, Dean (Beth) Bergeson of Milford IA, and Bill Bergeson of Cedar Rapids IA, and many relatives.
Della is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Bergeson, parents in-law Robert and Irene Lutterman, and other relatives and friends.
