Dorothy Eileen Wright Hanrahan, daughter of Claude and Clara Wright, was born on October 23, 1924 at Cylinder, Iowa. She died on January 8, 2021 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa at the age of 96.
Dorothy served in the US Navy Waves during World War II and spent her adult life in Des Moines, Iowa. Dorothy retired in 1989 from United Federal Savings and Loan Bank.
Dorothy is survived by her brother Norman (John) Wright and his wife Lavonne, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son James in 2013, one sister Beverly and three brothers Donald, Kermit and Melvin.
Dorothy was a life member of VFW Auxiliary 3388 of Estherville, Iowa, a life member of Waves National and a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
