As many of you know, Emmet County has had an annual Community Christmas Project for the past 37 years. The project began in 1982 as a response to the stressful financial circumstances faced by many of our community members. The project that is sponsored by the Estherville Area Ministerial Association has helped hundreds of families and individuals each year have a more joyful Christmas season. This success has only been possible because of the generosity and cooperation of many churches, organizations, businesses, individuals and volunteers. Because of the current Coronavirus pandemic, however, we unfortunately will not be able to have the Community Christmas Project in 2020. This decision was reached only after much deliberation and thoughtful discussion. We remain hopeful that we will be able to hold the Community Christmas Project again in 2021 because we know that the need for this help continues as many struggle financially. Your past participation and generosity are acknowledged and we hope that you will support the Community Christmas Project again in the near future.
