Hough scores 30 in Titans’ loss


POCAHONTAS - A 30-point night by Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's Madison Hough wasn't quite enough on Thursday, as the Titans lost 60-57 to Pocahontas Area.

The Indians led 18-17 after one quarter with the Titans taking a 28-27 lead at half-time. Pocahontas retook the lead, 37-36, after three quarters when both teams erupted for more than 20 points each.

Hough finished 9-of-26 from the field, including 6-of-14 from 3-point range. She also was 6-of-9 from the free throw line. She also had seven assists and three steals.

Kenzie Hoffman and Mercedes DePyper both chipped in eight points while Emma Baak had seven and Lauren Josephson and Ally Hanson each had two points. DePyper pulled down 11 rebounds while Josephson had 10. Hoffman had four steals and three assists.

GT/RA (3-10 overall, 1-4 in the Twin Lakes) hosts Harris-Lake Park today in Terril. The Titans host Alta-Aurelia at Ruthven on Tuesday.
