Funeral services for Jerry J Sanftner, 87, of Swea City, were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Armstrong with Vicar Kim Kacmarynski officiating. Interment was at Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City. He passed away after a brief illness on September 8, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, in Iowa City, Iowa.
