GRAETTINGER — Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine “Jo” Hildreth, 88, of Emmetsburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger with Father William Schreiber officiating. Interment will be at St. Jacob’s Catholic Cemetery, Graettinger. She passed away on December 31, 2021 at PARC Hall in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
Interment will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Josephine “Jo” Ann Hildreth, daughter of Daniel John and Mary Teresa (Kelly) Fitzpatrick was born May 25, 1933 in Emmet County, Iowa.
Jo attended rural Emmet and Palo Alto County schools and graduated from Graettinger High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Kieth Marland Hildreth on December 31, 1960, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger, Iowa. Jo was a secretary at the Graettinger Municipal Light Plant and following her marriage was secretary at Eicker Bros, Inc., in Waterloo, IA. She will be remembered as having a great memory and never forgot to send a birthday card. She was an avid sewer.
Following Kieth’s retirement from USDA, they made their home at Ingham Lake, enjoying the outdoors and the great Ingham / High Lake community. They helped with the restoration of Peterson Point Historic Site. They also enjoyed traveling; making many trips around the United States for Hildreth reunions and snowmobiling trips. Jo and Kieth had a great love for their dogs, Daisy and Jackson.
Jo is survived by her husband of 61 years Kieth of Emmetsburg, six nephews Dan (Sandy) Brown, JR (Jane) Brown, Bill (Diane) Brown, Tim (Carrie) Brown, Tom (Lori) Brown, and John (Joleen) Brown; six nieces Pat Brown, Joleen Baysore, Betty (Jim) Getzfred, Jackie (Bob) White, Terri Sponder, and Carrie Schiers and their families. She also treasured Kieth’s nephews, nieces, and their families.  
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings: Richard Fitzpatrick, Gerald Fitzpatrick, Catherine Brown, Mary Ellen Haag, and an infant brother; nieces Sheila Brown McClurg and Rosemary Fitzpatrick, and two nephews Paul Brown and infant Raymond Haag.
