Funeral services for Lillian M. Dahl, 94, of Estherville, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, at Good News Community Church in Estherville with Pastor Jesse Orttel officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lillian Marveline Dahl was called home to be with the Lord February 2, 2021.
Lillian was born May 10, 1926, to Emely and Emma (Thorson) Enerson of Estherville, Iowa. She married her best friend, Arnold Cecile Dahl on September 5, 1959 at Estherville Lutheran Church in Estherville, IA.
Lillian was a devoted farm wife and Christian, a loving mother and grandmother. She took time to enjoy the little things in life. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and tending to her sizable garden. She was a past-member of Estherville Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School. Although her love for these things were great, she enjoyed most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn ‘Evie’ (Kenneth ‘Ken’) Morey of Sioux City; her granddaughter Emily (Justin) Porter of Mapleton, IA; her granddaughter Kalvery (Jacob) Howley of Sioux City, IA; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Cecile Dahl, her parents, Emely and Emma (Thorson) Enerson, and her brothers, Roy and Alfred.
