Linda Kautz, the daughter of Lloyd and Frances (Henriksen) George was born November 6, 1951, in Estherville, Iowa. She died on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home in Milford, Iowa at the age of 68.
She received her education and graduated from Ringsted High School. She attended Spencer School of Business.
On April 4, 1970, she was united in marriage to Allen Kautz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ringsted. She was employed at Estherville Daily News and Iowa Lakes Community College, where she was employed for over 30 years and made many life-long friends. For hobbies, she enjoyed antiques, garage sales, fishing, flowers, going on bus tours and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake, riding around in the golf cart. Linda loved and lived life to its fullest and made friends with every stranger along the way.
She was a past member of Estherville Lutheran Church, and current member of First Lutheran Church of Milford. She was active in the Emmet County Relay for Life.
Left to cherish Linda's memory are sons, Jeff Kautz and his wife, Renee of Estherville; Corey Kautz and his fiance Tammy of Ankeny, Iowa; grandchildren, Kelsey; Alec; Amanda and Janette; and great-grandchildren Connor, Boe, Elise, and Hazel. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Wheatley and her husband, Dennis of Estherville; brothers: Russell George of Chandler, Texas; Roger George and his wife, Kay of Brenton, Kansas; special friend, Tom Schweers; and by many nieces and nephews.
She has been preceded in death by her husband and parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be given to Emmet County Relay for Life.
Private family service will be held. A public memorial service will be held at a late date. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.
