Mabel Ruth (Wilhelms) Boe was born in the Mitchell, South Dakota area on March 6, 1929 to Fred and Vera (Esterly) Wilhelms.
She passed away on January 8, 2021 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 91 years.
The family lived in South Dakota, Oregon, Montana, and Iowa. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1947.
Mabel married Edward Boe on September 3, 1947. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in the Estherville area. The couple was blessed with four sons, Allen, Darrell, David, and James.
The family farmed near Sherburn, Minnesota for 30 years until moving back to Estherville in 1981.
Mabel was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (Barbara) Boe, Darrell (Geraldine) Boe, David (Donna) Boe, and James Boe; grandchildren, Allen Jr., Rachel, Kristen, Andrew, Regina, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Justyce, Steven, Samantha, Austin, Joseph, Zoe, and Lydia.
Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Boe, her parents, two brothers, Arlen and Ralph, and four sisters, Delores, Avis, Marian, and Alice.
