No. 8 Wolfpack rolls past ELC


HULL - The Estherville Lincoln Central boys gave Western Christian a good battle in the first meeting of the season back on Dec. 10.

On Tuesday, Western Christian wasn't having any of that, taking control in the second quarter and pulling away in the second half for a 67-35 victory.

The Wolfpack had won by just 13, 65-52, in the first meeting. Their win Tuesday was their 10th straight after opening the season 0-2.

ELC trailed just 13-11 after one quarter, but Western Christian led 27-18 at half-time and then 46-26 after three quarters.

Jacob Jensen led ELC with six points.

Dawson Feenstra led Western Christian with 18 points.

ELC (5-7 overall) hosts Emmetsburg today in non-conference play.

In junior varsity play, ELC lost 45-35 to Western Christian. Tristan Howard led ELC with 12 points, Blake Ingvall had 10, Gary Gardner had three, Jack Jensen had four, and Logan Nissen, Arron Nissen, and Grant Love each had two.
