Funeral services for Roger L. England, 71, of Estherville, were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong. Interment was at Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong. He died July 10, 2020, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Roger England, son of Lyle and Mandy (Paris) England was born at Fenton, Iowa and spent most of his growing up in Sentral School System. He graduated there in 1967 and graduated from Iowa Lakes College in Emmetsburg, Iowa in 1969. While going to college he worked for Ken Krause Car Dealership. He entered the Army from 1969 - 1975 and came home to farm. He had worked for Case Implement out of Sioux City, Iowa and the Hardware of Ringsted, Iowa. Then he has been a truck driver for 40+ years for several trucking companies. He has owned and operated his own business, England Trucking Co. for about 10 years.

He married Marie L (Jahnke) on December 21st, 1984 in Armstrong, Iowa where he has lived most of his life in this area. After his wife Marie passed away in 2014, Roger stayed in the Estherville/Armstrong area.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Brad) Becker, Spirit Lake, Iowa; his sons, William Timm of Estherville, Iowa, Kim (Kandi) Timm of Estherville, Iowa, and Devin (Missy) Timm of Wamego, Kansas; two brothers, Jerry (Judy) England of Mayer, Minnesota, and Richard (Dori) England of Armstrong, Iowa; three sisters, Jeanne Mogler of Dallas, Texas, Mary (Darrel) Schmidt of Lone Rock, Iowa, and Barbara Carra of Austin, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Dillion Schwidder, Shawntel Schwidder, Eric Timm, Aubrey Timm, Cole Timm, Tabitha Timm, Robert Uhde, Shayanna Reyes, Sam, Lizzy and Krystal; along with many Nieces and Nephews.

Preceding him in death is his wife and soul mate, Marie England, his father, Lyle England, his mother, Mandy England, mother-in-law, Jeanne Jahnke, father-in-law, Myron Jahnke, a grandson, Thomas Timm, and three brothers- in-law, James Jahnke, Kenneth Jahnke and Robert Mogler.
