DUNNELL, Minn. — A Celebration of Life Service for Sherry Janssen, 81, of rural Dunnell, Minnesota will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha, Minnesota with Pastor Rick Bremseth officiating. Burial will be in Lake Fremont Cemetery in rural Dunnell, Minnesota.

Sherry was called into eternal rest on Friday evening, June 4, 2021 at her home in rural Dunnell, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha. Messages of Sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com.

Sherry Leanne Hybbert was born on May 20, 1940 to Clare and Muriel (Uden) Hybbert in Lake Fremont Township, rural Dunnell, Minnesota. She was baptized on July 7, 1940 and later confirmed on June 5, 1955 both in Dunnell. Sherry received her education and later graduated with the Class of 1958 from Sherburn High School. She was employed at John Morrell Company in Estherville, Iowa as an Office Manager for 30 years. On December 26, 1961 she was united in marriage to Bernard Janssen at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dunnell, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in rural Dunnell, Minnesota and Sherry continued her employment at John Morrell and raised her family. She later was employed at Glasstite in Dunnell. Sherry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha where her church family was very important and cherished and served on the Board of Directors at the Employees Credit Union in Estherville.

Sherry’s number one love and priority was her family.

Survivors include her husband, Bernie Janssen of rural Dunnell, Minnesota; daughter, Kimberly (Steven) Church of Alpha, Minnesota; son, Kevin Janssen of Trimont, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Lizabeth (Jordan) Wade of Jackson, Minnesota and Tavin Janssen of Truman, Minnesota; four great-grandchildren, Damien Ness, Devyn Ness, Blair Wade and Avery Wade; sister, Londa Hybbert and friend, Fay Umbreit of Dunnell, Minnesota; three brothers, Butch (Nancy) Hybbert of Fairmont, Minnesota, Tim Hybbert of Truman, Minnesota, Larry (Tina) Hybbert of Belle Rive, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Pam Hybbert of Lakewood, California and Luann Hybbert of Needles, California; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Clare and Muriel Hybbert; father and mother-in-law, Bernard “Buddy” and Joanne Janssen; granddaughters, McKenzie Ness; great grandson, Markus; brothers, Edd and Tedd Hybbert; grandparents, Ed and Lily Hybbert and Tedd and Ann Uden and other relatives.
