Funeral services for Stanley L. Rienhardt, of Estherville were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Jackie Ziemer officiating. Interment was at East Side Memorial Cemetery, Estherville. Stan passed away in Estherville, Iowa on June 28, 2026.
Stanley Lawrance Rienhardt, was the sixth of twelve children born to Herman, Sr, and Myrtle (Sharar) Rienhardt. He was born on January 28, 1936 on the family farm near Dolliver, Iowa.
Stanley was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Huntington, graduated from country school, and attended Dolliver High School. Stanley was a farmer his entire life, milking many cows and raising crops. He lived with his mother Myrtle, brothers Herman, Jr and Charles, and sisters Betty and Evelyn since 1958. The household moved from the Dolliver farm to a farm near Estherville in 1970. Stan continued to live on this farm for the remainder of his life.
Stanley enjoyed fishing, hunting, and horseshoes. In his later years he also enjoyed baking bread. He appreciated a good garage, farm, or livestock sale. Stan was a very kind, loving and thoughtful man. If he heard of a person needing an item and he was able to get it for them, he would.
Stan was most known for his lack of filter, but heart of gold. He loved to go for Gator rides to check in on his neighbors and the farm; multiple times a day. Stan was friendly to everyone and had numerous friends of all ages. He liked to give people a hard time and advice while visiting the local establishments.
Stan is survived by his sisters Rose (Jerry) Hansen of Estherville, Iowa and Karen (Larry) Beitz of Fontanelle, Iowa; his sister-in-law Bessie Rienhardt of Dunnell, Minnesota and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Herman, Sr, and Myrtle Rienhardt; and his siblings Eugene Rienhardt, Robert Rienhardt, Pearl (Jim, Sr) Smith, Betty Rienhardt, Herman Rienhardt, Jr, Charles Rienhardt, Lois (Ronald) Burg, Evelyn Rienhardt, and Jerry (Marilyn) Rienhardt.
