Funeral services for Steven Tow, 66, of Ringsted, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023, at United Lutheran Church in Ringsted with Pastor Cole McCormick officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Ringsted. He passed away at his home in Ringsted, Iowa, on June 3, 2023.
Visitation was held Wednesday at the church in Ringsted.
Steven Eugene Tow, was born at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on June 1, 1957, to Ordean and LaVonne (Pedersen) Tow.
Steve graduated from Ringsted High School in 1975. He then attended college at Buena Vista College and Iowa Lakes Community College. Steve married Monica Stensby in 1985, their marriage later dissolved, but they remained friends.
Steve was a salesman and manager at parts stores in both Jackson and St. Cloud, Minnesota. While in St. Cloud, he lived with his former partner, Val Dahlke. In November of 2022 he returned to live in Ringsted.
Steve was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ringsted. He was currently a member of United Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother LaVonne Tow, his sister Lucinda (Marty) Kane, his nieces Andrea Bradeen and Heather Winterfeld; nephew, Zachary Kane; great-nephew, Solomon Winterfeld, all of Ringsted, Iowa.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Ordean Tow, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
