Susan Ann Christiansen, daughter of Gordon and Eleanor (Danburg) Christiansen, was born on Aug. 19, 1957, in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away on Jan. 3, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society of Estherville at the age of 66 years.
Susan attended Estherville Schools throughout youth. She was a resident and worker for ECHO, and later Hope Haven in Estherville. She lived at a group home in Hull, Iowa for many years. Susan had a great love for celebrations, especially her birthday and Christmas. She liked to fill her time drawing and coloring.
Susan is survived by her siblings Richard (Gwen) Christiansen of Hartley, and Sandra Olesen of Graettinger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers Roger and Darrel, and brothers Leon, Larry, and Clarion (Hazel) Christiansen.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at the Estherville Lutheran Church. Visitation was at the church prior to the service. Burial was at Lost Island Lutheran Cemetery, Lost Island Township.
