ARMSTRONG - The North Union girls dominated visiting North Iowa on Friday on the way to a 77-20 victory. The Warriors jumped out to a 29-6 lead with their defense creating easy opportunities at the basket. That continued the rest of the game, as North Union led 48-13 at halftime. With a running clock in the second half, North Union led 67-20 after three quarters and then held North Iowa scoreless in the final frame.
Lofstrom led the Warrior effort with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
The Warriors accumulated 20 steals on the night led by Hope Steinberger with five and Vanessa Von Bank with four.
Sam Nielsen finished with 10 points, Vanessa Von Bank and Brooklyn Prochniak each had nine, May Laverty had six, Steinberger and Olivia Von Bank each had five points, Jordyn Cummins had three and Cassie Beadle had two.
North Union (2-0 overall) will travel to Forest City on Tuesday.
